About me
Rukami Studio is a slow-living creative space, inspired by tactile beauty and the quiet power of making with your hands. From delicate jewelry to bold fiber art, I craft pieces that bring a sense of meaning, warmth, and texture into everyday life. Whether you're adorning your body, decorating your walls, or learning something new — you're invited into a world where creation becomes connection.
My name is Aljona, and I’m the hands and heart behind Rukami. I’m originally from Russia and have been living in Hamburg since 2017, where I work from my small home studio filled with yarn, beads, tools, and light. Rukami — which means “by hands” in Russian — is my soul project. It grew from a deep need to slow down, to make things that feel real, and to stay close to the rhythm of craft.
Each piece I make is shaped by this intention: to create something simple, tactile, and honest. My cat Lucy is usually nearby, often supervising or claiming the softest materials for herself. She’s part of the process too.
Through Rukami, I hope to share not just objects, but the feeling of making — of shaping something with care and attention, and offering it out into the world.
